RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Provided - $3K plus $2 per mile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Prior case management experience in an acute care hospital. Department is willing to consider and train candidates without acute case management experience who have a minimum of three (3) years recent acute care RN experience; Med/Surg, PCU, ED experience preferred.
Demonstrated utilization review/discharge planning experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, negotiation skills, and knowledge of hospital operations.
Proven experience and proven skills in conflict management and resolution.
Proficiency in information systems, databases, and programs including MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, etc.
Must have fast and accurate typing and data entry skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BSN/MSN
ACM and/or CCM certificate.
Three to five (3 - 5) years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting.
UCSD RN experience; Med/Surg, PCU, ED preferred.
Previous supervisory/management experience.
Experience with Epic, ECIN, InterQual.
Knowledge of payer industry, resource management, reimbursement, and evidence-based clinical practice.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
