Salary info: $45-55/hr
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment
Qualifications you will need:
Required License or Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure
as a registered nurse with CT DPH (out of state candidates must be able to
apply for license reciprocity with DPH.)
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health nursing, prior
experience in a supervisory role.
Job Summary and Qualifications:
The Behavioral Heath Unit Nurse Supervisor provides nursing care through
physical and mental assessments, laboratory testing, treatment plans and
therapeutic treatments. The incumbent must be knowledgeable in a wide
range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.
Be able to perform crisis intervention.
Participate in the department?s performance improvement and continuous
quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams.
Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Nursing -
BHU, the Nurse Supervisor utilizes evidence based practices in accordance
with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital
and as directed by the medical staff.
