EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
? Master's Degree in Sports Medicine Program (Required) ? Athletic Trainers employed by Phoebe before January 1, 2021 may remain employed as an Athletic Trainer without meeting the education requirement. Must have a 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine Program. ? Candidates who have graduated before January 1, 2021 without a Master's Degree in Sports September 25, 2020 Version: 2 Medicine Program but have a 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine Program will qualify for employment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
0 - 1 year field coverage, clinical coverage (Preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Required Certifications/Licensures: Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC)
JOB SUMMARY
Assess and treat sports medicine injuries both in the field and in the clinic. Document all treatment sessions after each visit. Use equipment/technology to achieve the best outcomes for the clients. Help develop new programs for the department.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
