QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field including clinical rotations or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA ?88 required and
?
Possess or is eligible to receive appropriate HHS approved laboratory certification (ASCP or AMT)
?
If not certified, must obtain certification within 180 Days required
Job Summary
Performs analytical testing according to policies, procedures and federal regulations including CAP, OSHA, COLA, CLIA, and HIPAA
?
Evaluates results for accuracy and resolves complex test problems
?
Recognizes, communicates, and documents results that require action
?
Performs and documents routine & advanced instrument maintenance and quality control; takes appropriate remedial action
?
ensures appropriate record keeping and retention
?
May function as Charge Tech in absence of the Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
