3 years of hospital laundry experience required.
Previous supervisory experience is required.
Job Description
Provides supervisory responsibility for laundry activities and assists manager in leading the department. Provides supervisory responsibility for laundry activities and assists manager in leading the department. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards to comply with regulatory requirements (OSHA, Department of Health, JCAHO). Ensures laundry and hospital equipment is in working order and inspects for wear, tear, and replacement and prepares requisition for maintenance or replacement as necessary. Assigns personnel, assists with preparation of work schedules and the evaluation of work performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Performs other duties as assigned.
